News: Winter Tour - A SUCCESS!

We would like to thank everyone who came out to the Winter Tour shows! You guys helped make this entire tour possible and a success.

We went at this tour on a wim. We weren't sure what to expect over the last two months.

Even our tour manager wasn't confident. But, We were are able to convince him to go along with it!

We would also like to thank all of the malls for making this possible and for having awesome promo for the events.

I have been asked many times "What does it feel like to get back on the road once you have had many Days Off?"

Well, It depends on the situation I am in.

If I had a day off at home I kind of want to go but as always it's nice to stay home.

If I had a day off in another city it depends on how attached I have gotten to the town itself (I usually am not in a town long enough to get to attached).

News: Fearless Tour - Update

I appologize for not keeping the blog up to date everyday as I had promised before the tour but I haven't been able to keep up. Please Forgive Me.

I got to TN around noon today and I am going to hang around here until Tuesday night when we leave for Wyoming!

So the tour has been going great everyone has continued to be so nice. The dance compitition is still going strong.

It's just been an amazing experince and it's not even half way through it yet!

My internal clock has been messed up a LOT I have been going to bed around 6am(EDT) everymorning and waking up around 4pm(EDT) every afternoon. The time changes everyday have really been throwing me off!

So anyway I just wanted to tell you guys who read this (which is probably no one) that I haven't forgotten about you.

News: Fearless Tour (before show) - Day 4

I have a lot to cetch you all up on.

You may have noticed there wasn't a "Day 2 (after show)" entry posted. I knew the day would come where I lost track of time on this tour (because it happens every tour). So here let me get you caught up...

After Show (Day 2)-

The show went Awesome everyone was so nice. There weren't any problems (that I could see) and Edmonton is just a great city!

As you know we held a dance contest on that date. (July 9)

Everyone was awesome about and there were three winners!

The Third Place Winner won an Autographed T-Shirt.

The Second Place winner also won an Autographed T-Shirt, and an Autrographed Taylor Swift T-Shirt.

The First Place winner won an Autographed (moloeight) T-Shirt, An Autographed (Taylor Swift) T-Shirt, and Got Backstage passes for that show.

I just thought I would tell you guys that. Those prizes will be the prizes for the Dance Compatition for The next 6 shows then we will come up with something else.

Day 3-

We didn't have a show Yesterday (Day 3) so we just drove toward the next city and stopped in a really small town on the way. We got out of our Busses and just looked around for a little bit.

Then, Taylor came to us (me and my Road Manager, Rob and sayed that she wanted to buy us to an Early dinner. So we went to an Italian place called Vinny's with Her, Catlin(fiddle player, TS), and Taylor's Mom. Which was really fun.

After, We went to a coffee shop and just sat there for about 2 hours when Taylor announced that she was starting a collection of Glass Bottles. Once we got bored we went back to our busses and headed of to the town where the show is going to be. (Winnipeg)

Which leads me to today.

Day 4 (Before Show) -- the entry you really click on here to see -

Right now I am sitting in my bunk trying to figure out if I should eat before or after the show and typing this.

I finished with SoundCheck/Rehersal about an hour ago and now comes the point where we just sit and wait for your call to the stage.

The good news is we are in the Central Time zone so I can (kind of) be used to the time difference because it's only an hour difference from back home.

I couldn't sleep last night so I ended up falling asleep at like 5A.M and waking up like 12 hours later. I was afraid that I had missed something important but luckly I hadn't.

Tonight we are going to do another contest with the same prizes we used in the last contest (info above).

All Right this entry is really... really... boring! If you have gotten this far I want to say THANK YOU!!! and if you read this I still want to say THANK YOU!!!

News: Fearless Tour (before show) - Day 2

It's Day 2!

There is going to be a lot more fun in this show then last! I thought about it last night and said to myself "There's not enough energy when I am on stage..." So I wrote some ideas down and I think a few of them are awesome!

Now that I have adjusted to this new "vibe" I will be more interactive with the audience. I think I am going to have a few audience members come up on stage tonight for a little Dance Compatition! I have already talked to the Production Manager and my Road Manager about it and we have something up our sleeve. There will be a little bit more about that after the show in the "After Show" blog entry.

I hope to see people go crazy tonight! I know my portion of the show is only Acoustic but we can still make it work. ;)

I just thought about it... How many people actually like to read this blog? Maybe we will set up something on the website (www.moloeight.co.nr) that will allow you all to comment on them. Who knows, We will see!

Alright. This entry is a little longer but not as long as I would like. Hopefully the next one there will be more to talk about!

Sorry I am a little late writing this blog...

The show tonight at the Pengrowth Saddledome was sweet! Everyone was ssssssoooooo nice. I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out to this show even though you did probably come just to see Taylor Swift!

We are about to pack everything up and head off to the next city (Edmonton, Alberta) which I hope with be as awesome.

I like how fast people notice you on this tour. I had T-Shirts, and Hoodies next to the Verizon stand where Taylor's merch was being sold and I didn't think anyone would stop at my booth but I sold about $50 worth of merch (which doesn't sound like a lot but shirts are $5.00 a piece and Hoodies are $10).

Anyway, I thought you all might be impressed (or not).

Sorry these blogs are so short. Hopefully as the Tour progresses they will lengthin.

News: Fearless Tour (before show) - Day 1

The day is here! My portion of the Fearless Tour is kicking off tonight at Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. I admit I am a little freaked out (ok, I can't lie on here... I don't think I have been this scared in a very. very. long time).

Anyway, I spent the night last night on my bus (It's fun saying that) traveling from Edmonton, Alberta to Calgary, Alberta. Taylor rode in my bus and about 5 minutes in to the trip she told me she wanted to welcome me to the Fearless Tour which was awesome enough but to make it even better she make Crepes (with: Vanilla, and Ranbow Sprinkles) she said that's her favorite way to eat them. So we acted like we were 5 togeather.

For those of you who haven't slept in a Tour Bus (actually laying down) it's like being rocked to sleep when you where a baby! (no joke)

I am being called to the stage for rehersal... I gotta go. Please keep a look out for more entries during this tour.

News: Backstage at Cornerstone

I am sitting here backstage after a really... really... fun show!

I actually got to do a Drum Solo! I haven't gotten to do one in about a year. Now I am just sitting here backstage waiting for 10:30P to roll around because the people putting this event on (Cornerstone Farm) wants every band that played today to meet at the main stage to take one huge bow. That should be fun. After we do that we have to make sure everything is safely in the Trailer and then we are heading back to the hotel to crash for the night. If all goes as plan we should be getting back to the hotel at about 1 or 2A.

Because I don't have to be in Canada until the 5th we are going to use this time to head over to Chicago and explore that city for a while. We may stay there until the 4th and go to a fireworks display there. My Road Manager is going to meet me in Chicago and we are going to fly together to Calgary, Alberta to meet up with Taylor's manager and she is going to show me the Tour Bus that I will be staying in!

I am really looking forward to the next week. Once the tour gets started I will be doing some really cool contests for you all. LOOK OUT FOR THAT!!!

Ok, That's enough for now. I know I keep talking about the tour but it's the biggest one I have been on in my life (no joke).

News: Cornerstone Festival

Here I am in the Van somewhere in the United States on I-80W (a 392 mile road) heading to the Cornerstone Festival with my friends (Vince, Brad, and Conrado"David"). We are having an awesome time getting caught up.

This drive is a pretty big one. This trip is going to take us about 16 hours (we have already been on the road for about 8) and is 1,035 Miles long. I have a feeling this show is going to be awesome!

Oh, and if you were wondering my band mates from Molo Eight are going to meet me up here tomorrow and we are going to head to Canada to meet up with Taylor Swift and her band for Rehersal.

Ok. Folks we have to stop for lunch but I will talk to you all a little later! ;)

News: Big Brothers, Big Sisters Event.

So I am just sitting back stage reading my email and what not and still have an hour before show time so I thought I would write this blog entry!

As you probably guessed (because I told you) I have a show tonight in Stamford, CT for The Big Brothers, Big Sisters of CT. It's an acoustic show so I am just sitting here by my self. The only difference between usual acoustic shows and now is that I brought my uncle along because he had nothing better to do and I didn't want to be bored with just my Road Manager to talk to. There is nothing wrong with him or his conversations it's just talking to the same person over and over again can get a little boring.

The next 5 days are going to be very busy.

Tomorrow I have a show back in my hometown (Richmond, VA) at the Vegetarian Festival. Then Sunday, I have a show in Williamsburg, VA at Bucsh Gardens which is a Theme Park if you didn't know already.

Then, Monday I don't have a show but I have a few meetings about the Fearless tour. Then after the meetings (which are going to be for a couple of days) I am going to NYC to have a show as the drummer for Army of Me which should be awesome.

I am going to stay there for about two days after that then had down south a little bit to Farmingdale, NY where I am having a show at "Crazy Monkey" with Metro Station, Evan Taubenfeld and a few other bands.

Then, I head home really quickly and get everything together to head up to Bushnell, IL to have a show at the Cornerstone Festival as the drummer of Army of Me again. I am going to spend a few days hanging out with my fellow band members of AOM. Then, I head to Canada where I join Taylor Swift for the fearless tour!

Ok, That was more of a preview of what's to come then a blog entry about today but at least it kept me occupied for about nine minutes!

I will talk to you guys very soon (like maybe tomorrow).

News: Random Update #1

So I just relized that I haven't updated this blog since we switch hosts from Tumblr to another service that we have used for other things in the past so we figured that this would work just as well.

A lot has happened just since the month started. So I will try and sum it up as minimally and straight to the point as possible.

Last week, I was at MDA Camp in Wakefield, Virginia. I never did a Molo Eight show but I did create a band that played during the talent show and it only took about 6 hours to get everything togeather. To check out more go to: www.mdacampva.net

When I came back from camp I slept for about 4 hours then I got everything back togeather to go to Fond Du Lac, WI for a Festival type thing. It was cool but not as I expected.

Anyway, I guess that's pretty much all that happened but it felt like more than it was...

We are working on getting a blog set up that is assigned EXCLUSIVELY for the Various tours. But, we are having sort of a decision issue... and that issue is What Service Should We Use?

We are weighing the options like what features do the sites offer. What will be need from the sites. and How easy is the interface of the site to use.

We just wrapped up a very short tour with a few bands Bowling For Soup, MC Lars, and Suburban Ledgends! I want to thank everyone who came out to the shows. News: Winter Tour Update 2

Sorry I have been lacking on the updates lately! We have been really busy with this tour.

We have been on the road for about 12 days now and everyone of those days have been a BLAST! Every mall we have played so far has been awesome and everyone who has come out to see us has been just as awesome. When we got the tour planning done in September I don't really know what I was expecting but I know it wasn't this BIG!

Even though this tour has been awesome it hasn't been emotion free. This is our first HEADLINING tour so we have had to do all of the so called "three P's" (Planning, Preperation, and Promotion) which has been fun but full of stress.

Anyway, We arrived in Dallas from Victoria, TX which was probably one of the most easy drives we will take the whole 2 months we will be out here on the road! It only took us about 45 minutes to get here and find our hotel.

It has been one of those lazy days that every touring musician looks foward to. One of those days where you can eat at a place that takes more that 10 minutes to get through and a day where you can sleep an extra hour!

Infact, We got a chance to experince real Texas! For dinner we ate at Y.O. Ranch Steackhouse. Which doesn't seem like it would be that nice but we are talking Valet Parking and Reservations! Yeah, NICE!!! By the way it was AMAZING I would recommend it to any of my friends in Dallas.

Anyway, We have 2 Dallas shows coming up Monday and Tuesday! Plus, We have some Press lined up in the next few weeks (we will keep you posted on those).

Ok, Enough random rambling!

News: Winter Tour - Leg One Complete!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! It's hard to believe that it's Christmas Eve already. It feels like we just did this!

But, It's also hard to believe that the First Leg of the Winter Tour is over already! The first leg was the south and midwest. We have had a blast at everyone of the shows so far! The Second leg of the tour is the shortest of all of them and it covers the East. It will probably go fast but I know we will enjoy ever second of it.

If we don't make it to your city don't worry I'm sure we will hit your city at somepoint in the near future! If your city is small and not on the map clearly send us some info on Myspace or iLike and we will see what we can do!
